This scholarship allows deserving Army Public Affairs and Visual Information Specialists to continue their professional development.Don Carr was a legendary public affairs officer who started out as an enlisted Soldier during the Viet Nam era and became an Army civilian public affairs practitioner after retiring from service. Don's career was characterized by his intense passion for telling the Army Story. He wore his heart on his sleeve and nobody ever doubted Don's position on anything. Don had a great heart and mentored hundreds over the course of his 40+ years of service.This scholarship fund is dedicated to Don, his passion for service and his loving family.The association is grateful for the founding sponsorship of DCG Communications. DCG, like Don himself, believes in an ethos of commitment, passion and the importance of giving back. This scholarship is possible because of their generous support. Thank you, DCG!

Centurians are members who have donated $100 or more to support APAA activities. Donations to the Army Public Affairs Association help us to pay for our annual awards program recognition events, celebrating leadership and excellence in the Army Public Affairs field. Your donation also helps us to defray travel expenses for our Awardees, and for members of the Triggs family to participate in the ceremony.
Members who would like to honor a living or fallen comrade can designate the contribution in his or her memory. Please note the specific instructions for this designation in the donation directions below.
Donations to this fund will be added to our current budget and used to meet immediate needs. Money not spent in the current year will be allocated to next year's budget.
