Your donations help us promote Army Public Affairs


Like any organization, APAA will always require adequate financial resources to pursue its misson of serving its membership and supporting the conduct of excellence in Army Communications. The association depends on four sources of revenue: membership fees, a small amount of corporate contributions in support of the awards and scholarships, donations from the nominations for the Order of St Gabriel Award program, and charitable donations by friends of the Army.

 

 

Members can make a charitable donation to APAA at any time in a variety of ways – money, stocks, real estate, collectibles, or other valuables. Depending on the donor's tax situation, donations may be tax deductible, reducing a member/donor’s tax liability while helping to provide for APAA’s future. The APAA is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. 

 

 

If you'd like to make a donation to APAA, you can designate it to go to one of these categories:

 

 

• In Memoriam:

 

◦ Members who would like to honor a fallen comrade can designate the contribution in his or her memory. Please note the specific instructions for this designation in the donation directions below.

 

 

• The Don Carr Memorial Scholarship Fund:

 

◦ The Don Carr Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of former Newspaper Chief and Director of News Operations at U.S. Army Office of the Chief of Public Affairs, Donald N. Carr. It provides financial support to members of the Army Public Affairs and VI family enrolled in professional education programs that will enhance their ability to tell the Army story.

• Centurion Fund:

 

Become a "Centurion" by donating $100 or more in a one-time cash donation to the Endowment or general fund.

 

• The General Fund:
Donations to the General Fund become part of our current-year operating budget.

• Endowment Fund:

 

◦ The Endowment Fund was established in 2023 to provide for future APAA operations. Thanks to the generosity of APAA members and the growth of its investments, the Endowment Fund will become a critical component of APAA's financial foundation.
